Mrs. Debi Tauschek, Headmaster and Grades 3-8
I attended a Lutheran grade school and graduated from Walden III in Racine. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and my state teacher’s license from UW-Parkside. Union Grove is where I call home along with my wonderful husband and two beautiful children. In the community I participated in Leadership Union Grove and enjoy being involved. At St. Paul’s Lutheran Church I was a member for 13 years and active in many different capacities; children’s music director, Sunday School teacher, and on the School Board. Currently I am a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and have been the headmaster at CLA since 2008. I absolutely love being a part of CLA and couldn’t imagine doing anything else. Every day I thank God for blessing me and the children in my class. |

Mrs. Sharon Geibel, Literature
I’ve been a Kenosha native since I was three years old and currently live on Kenosha’s north side. In 2004, I attended the University of Wisconsin-Parkside graduating with honors in 2 ½ years. I was an English/writing major. While at college, I joined Phi Eta Sigma, a Greek organization which recognizes academic achievement, and also, Sigma Tau Delta, the National English Honor Society. Later, I was the president of Parkside’s Sigma Tau Delta chapter and represented Parkside by presenting two papers at the annual Sigma Tau Delta convention. I worked as an English tutor (two years) at the Parkside Tutoring Center. It was there that I found I have an aptitude for teaching and helping others with their writing skills. I was the copy editor for the Ranger News and also wrote the Tutoring Center’s monthly newsletter. At graduation, I was the English department’s nominee for “Graduate of the Year”. I will have been married to Larry Geibel for 30 years come this August 2010. I am very proud of my three lovely daughters all of which I homeschooled at some time during their elementary school years. Currently, I am the Literature teacher for Christ Lutheran Academy, and I love being a part of something so fun and interesting. I love reading with the children and I believe they like reading books with me, too! I hope the children turn a healthy interest in books into a driving hunger for more adventure and take me along for the journey as we discuss the reading material. |
